My deepest condolences for the loss of Aunty Joan. Our family is keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers. Aunty Joan was a joyful person even though she was unwell and in great pain in hospital. I had the opportunity to visit and talked to her while my son Vincent was also in hospital during that time. To be with her I felt a sense of her strong faith and trust in God. She was always smiling, happy and peaceful. She was an inspiration! May she rest in peace.
Dearest Jude&Anna, Marcia&Charles, Cyrus, Travis&Keshia, DesDan&Isaac, Shania, Joe, Jono, Jacob, Martin&Val, Aunty Marie and all the rest of the dearest D'Souza family,
Our deepest condolences and prayers go out to each and everyone one of you, as we say good bye to Aunty Joan today.
Her quiet resilience and gentle wisdom has always been an inspiration to us. I count myself extremely lucky and blessed to have so many wonderful memories made with her while she was with us. It was so easy to confide in her and get her advice for anything.. especially during the time I first came to Australia and lived with her in the same home. She showed me how to organize my clothes in my wardrobe, saying "If you don't have enough coat hangers for the clothes, that means you have too many clothes L.A, and you must give it away!"
You have left a chasm in our hearts dear Aunty Joan, but we go on with our lives knowing you are watching over us and rejoicing with our Lord in the eternal Kingdom.
My favourite and my last memory of her, are her words of wisdom to me - "Everything will happen according to God's plan, don’t worry".
A legacy of Faith and Trust, and a valuable lesson for us when we doubt or falter in our journey.
Rest in peace evermore dear sweet Nana Joan 🙏 Thank you for sharing your life with us.
Love from L.A, Steve, Sully, Jolyn, Morgan and Baby.
