Our dear sweet Aunty Shirley aka Diana Ross… you were always the kind, soft spoken and purest of heart Aunty.
The one I would run to for hugs and kisses, you would just shower me with so much affection. You had the patience of a saint (would of needed it with Uncle Alan lol) and the most empathetic loving soul. You radiated positivity even in your most darkest days 🥺🤍
I wish I had of visited with my girls sooner so you could of met them because I just know how much you would of loved to shower them with so much affection and would of absolutely adored them like you always done with me growing up.
Your long phone calls and text messages will be something I’ll forever miss.

You have a spirit I know that will live on in everything you love and cherish the most. I pray your at peace and that you visit me in my dreams.

Love you always and forever my gorgeous Aunty,
Your niece Lants, (Miss Moo)

A Poem For My Aunty xxx

With courage and grace you fought
cancer with a smile and courage
You gave us a legacy of love
You lit up our hearts with their spark

We shared many good times with you
We laughed and we felt your warmth
You left us with precious memories
You taught us with wisdom and support

We will miss you each and every day
We thank you for all that you did
We will keep you in our heartsxx

Rest in Peace Aunty.xx

Goodbye my dear beautiful sister
I will miss our weekly phone calls and how we always laughed at all the mischief things we did. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of you and wait for you to ring me. I’ll miss you terribly my dear beautiful sis. R.I.P. with our beautiful mum and dad, my twin, Patricia Mehiora, sister Patricia Jane, and our big brother Reuben.

Thank you for those beautiful conversations we had…I was so sorry when you told me what you’d been going through but you kept your brave smile, warmth and kindness throughout. Your loss has hit a lot of us - you were more than just a BC sister, you were genuinely one of life’s most beautiful people. Rest in peace.

My beautiful Aunty, it’s taken me a while to acknowledge your passing. I was in denial, I knew that once I wrote something it would all feel so real 😩 I’m still speechless don’t know what to say or feel but I do know one thing….The time we were blessed to share with you, Aunty, has come to an end but your legacy lives on through all those whose lives you touched. We are eternally thankful for having known such a beautiful soul. Rest easy now Aunty 🕊️ I’m sorry I can’t be there in your final moments but I know you are surrounded by many who love and adore you. Till we meet again 🕊️❤️Ronnie xx

Don’t think of her as gone away
her journey’s just begun
life holds so many facets
this earth is only one.
Just think of her as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days or years.
Think how she must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of her as living
in the hearts of those she touched
for nothing loved is ever lost
and she was loved so much.
Funeral Poem Her Journey
My beautiful soul sister, Shirl.
A friend for nearly 50 years. We battled cancer....you kicked it, I'm still battling.
Till we meet again dear lady, you will always be in my heart. RIP ❤️❤️
